Our many children and youth are cherished members of the McKinley family. In a creative and nurturing environment, we aim to foster understanding of the Christian faith, a sense of belonging to the community of Christ, and a commitment to the community at large. Our education programs do this in several ways:
- Teaching and sharing biblical stories, the teachings of Jesus, and the good news of God’s love.
- Exploring issues of social justice, cultural diversity, ethical challenges, and values.
- Empowering children and youth to translate faith and social concerns into action.
- Encouraging meaningful participation in worship and congregational activities.
We hope that through participating in Christian education, our children and youth will grow personally, experience a positive faith community, learn about the roots of religious freedom, and be motivated to serve others and seek social justice.
